Has anyone wondered why Paul
McCartney and wife-to-be married at an
obscure/little-known Castle on the border between
Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland?
I can put forward a
hypothesis!
It may be more than a guess!
Castle Leslie is under the
stewardship of Samantha Leslie, one of five children
of the extremely "quirky" Desmond Leslie,
who is in his late seventies, and oft seen on Irish
TV because of his liking for disco dancing!
Some might say he is mad as a hatter, but not I.
According to the official web site for Castle Leslie,
the bold Desmond is one of the few surviving WW11
Spitfire pilots, and he was reported to have been
responsible for the downing of several aircraft -
most of which he was flying at the time!
Seriously people - lets get
back to Castle Leslie and Paulie.
The Leslies have been
traditional followers of all things of the occult!
In earlier years, the festival of the Summer Solstice
was marked with the playing of Wagner in the library,
seances have been held regularly, and the castle is
reported to be inhabited by numerous ghosts, some of
which are Leslie ancestors.
Desmond Leslie is also the
author of a book called "The Jesus File".
Dessy believes in UFOs and he says that we are being
watched at this time by aliens but they dont want to
upset or frighten us by coming out into the open.
Dessy reckons we( the planet) is/are on a motorway ,
down which aliens travel and regularly visit Earth
without us knowing.
Dessy has several children,
two boys and three girls. One "boy",
(married) according to author Ann Morrow, is in the
habit, pardon the pun, of dressing up as a woman and
paying visits to the local hostelries near Glaslough.
Desmond, in earlier years ,
oft attended the White Eagle Temple in Kensington in
London, - sometimes known as the Martinists , the
Alchemists - associated to the "White
Brotherhood".
There is also a "White Eagle Temple" in the
castle and I am wondering- is this where Paulie and
wife got hitched?
NB. Since I first wrote this
essay, I have discovered that Desmond Leslie, UFO
enthusiast, author and spirituallist has died in the
south of France.!
