In the Sunday World newspaper 14th March 2010 by Nicola Tallant - Cynthis Owen makes explosive claims against the highest ranking Garda - claiming a coverup!

Quote: "This week Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy refused a request to have the investigation probed by the Cold Case Unit despite strong suggestions of a coverup detailed today in the Sunday World."

"a string of complaints have been made against a senior officer (Garda) involved in the probe who is connected to the case - he was a one-time friend of Peter Murphy Snr and socialises with a number of the men accused of ritual (occult/satanic/ of a child - seriously comprising his involvement in the investigation."

Claims of forged reports into the case and vital evidence going missing, taking 8 years to interview a key witness and failing to get him to sign the statement - are only a fraction of Garda tactics to hinder or suppress investigation into the case!

"In further statements she has alleged that her parents sold her to a paedophile ring that operated in Dalkey who ritually (occult/satanic) abused her and her siblings - five of whom are still alive today."

NB: A niece - Teressa, brought up in the family, and Cynthia's her brothers Michael and Martin committed suicide.

Quote: " In a statement issued last night Cynthia said: I was abused and raped over approximately 6 years by family members and a group of others including members of the Garda and whose indentity is known to the authorities!"
