Media and government swine-flu
jargon is suspicious and designed to alarm the people
of the world!
I have noticed that spokespersons for government,
the media and the WHO (World Health Organisation)
have using a curious and alarming type of jargon when
referring to the Mexican "swine- flu"
outbreak!
Jargon such as: "this
is a pandemic!" - when no
one can predict when a pandemic will breakout, given
that the last one was in 1918! I just get the
impression that the "status quo" have been
talking up the threat of a flu pandemic for several
years! Why should anyone, including those involved in
microbiological research and virology, believe that a
pandemic is more likely to breakout at this time in
particular? Whats so peculiar and special about 2009?
Jargon such as, as I have just heard on TalkSport
radio (Sky): "this
might not be "the" epidemic but that
doesn't mean that more virulent pandemics might not
breakout 6 months or a year from now!"
US
flu cases rise, officials warn will worsen
But we do think we can reduce the impact
of its spread, and reduce its impact on
health," Rear. Adm. Anne Schuchat, the CDC
interim science and public health deputy
director, told a Senate Appropriations health
subcommittee.
"There's a lot of anxiety right now
across the country," said subcommittee
Chairman Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
"It's important for people to know
there's a lot that we can do," Schuchat told
Harkin. "The investments that have been made
in preparedness are making a difference."
Still, she warned, not only might the
disease get worse, "it might get much
worse."
Consider: -
1) There were many outbreaks of flu
in the decades after WW2 - why did the WHO not claim
that they were potential pandemics?
No one knows that a flu outbreak
will be a pandemic until after it happens!
2) So why is it more inevitable
that a virus will mutate into a new deadly strain in
2009?
3) Why is it more dangerous in
2009, than - say in 1991/2, when I was made ill be a
nasty flu outbreak?
4) Why is the WHO, Uk and US
politicians broadcasting that the Mexican outbreak is
a pandemic - this is obviously spreading panic across
the world and causing immense distress to the naive
and sensitive?
The term "pandemic flu
outbreak" was never used in previous decades!

So called government
"experts" have in the past spread fear and
by making the public "aware" of threats
such as "global warming" (
has anyone noticed the sea levels getting higher on
the coast where you live?), the hole in the
ozone layer (have you heard anything about
the ozone layer in the last 2 years" No! and Why
not?), the dangers of asteroids or meteors
(about a year ago, this was the big
"threat" at that time and it was disgussed
to the limit on the "James Whale Show" - j.
and Whale fell for it hook, line and sinker! This was
just before he was sacked by Sky). Then there was the
iodide pack, that the Irish government sent
every member of the population several years ago -
incase there was a terrorist attack involving a
nuclear weapon - even though neither Iraq, Iran nor
the Taliban possessed or had the technology to build
one.
